SYME WOOLNER NEIGHBOURHOOD & FAMILY CENTRE is a community based,non-profit,charitable organization formed through the amalgamation of Syme Family Centre and Jane/Woolner Neighbourhood Association.The Syme Family Centre has been providing programs and services for school aged children since 1981.The Jane/Woolner Neighbourhood Association was founded by community residents in 1985,and had had rovided rograms and services for children,youth immigrant,famijlies,socially isolated adults,sex-trade workers,and individuals with drugs

To Volunteer is to give back to the community and Syme Woolner has thrived on services rendered by our volunteers.Our Volunteer Services provides opportunities for individuals looking to give back to the community.Volunteers are placed in all areas of Syme Woolner programming.
The Volunteer Services program also works with schools,colleges and universities to assist students in finding placement opportunities within Syme Woolner.

The Youth Services program provides a variety of services to the youth in our community.Programming targets the changing needs youth and are developed in collaboration with youth
The Adult Drop-in program provides individuals and families with a number of services that include Food bank,Drop-in meal program,workshops,and client referrals
The Housing Assistance program works with individuals and families who are in need of a place to stay or in the process of being evicted from their their home.The program works with the hidden and absolute homeless,and services include Eviction Prevention,referrals,and Social Housing Applications
Our Harm Reduction program seeks to reduce the health and social harm associated with psychoactive drug use in people are unable or willing to stop. The program is a non-judgmental response to the issuesof drug use and focuses on prevention of harm rather.
