EGLINTON WEST DROP-IN & JANE’S PLACE PROGRAM IS….
- An accessible space for people in the community to use. Staff is friendly and people orientated.
- A safe place where harassment of any kind and form, sexism, racism and heterosexism is not tolerated. People at the Drop-in treat each other with respect dignity. We encourage you to raise your voice with ours!
- A place to come for help and support, especially if people are in crisis. Staff at the Drop-in listen to people’s problems and handle them in confidentiality.
- A place where people can meet one another, talk and make new friends.
- A one stop information centre where people can get information and referrals to other services.
EGLINTON WEST DROP-IN & JANE’S PLACE PROGRAM offers….
- Needle exchange and information on harm reduction (information on substance abuse e.t.c.).
- Free condoms, lube and other sexual health information and materials.
- Free use of telephone, internet, voicemail, and mailing address (York Neighborhoods’ Drop-in).
- Help in filling income tax, OAS/CCP, NTCB, etc.
- Help reading letters, and other documents.
- Resume writing, and job searching workshops.
- Information on housing issues such as evictions, housing searches, repairs etc.
