Youth Program

 

The Youth Program at Syme-Woolner Neighborhood and Family Centre currently includes a drop-in at Rockliffe Middle School (in partnership with Parks and Recreation).The program is open to youths in the community 4 nights a week (Monday – Thursday.) Monday is our young Women’s night while the remainder of the week is open to youths of all genders. We have basketball, cooking, workshops, and movies.

Wednesday night is open to youth 18 and older. Any young person in the community is eligible to use these services, as well all youth are encouraged to take a leadership role in the programs. If you have any ideas how the program can be improved come out and speak to the staff.

We also have opened a new Drop-in at York square. Every Friday night we have our new youth room open from 5pm-10pm.So far we have done cooking, freestyle sessions,also some discussions and movies.This program like any other program belongs to you,the youth,and to the community,so ideas and suggestions to improve and develop our programs are needed.
